I finally got around to taking some pics and uploading them. This is the guitar I had my eye on for a full year, so when I saw the deal I pounced. It's gorgeous, plays real smooth, sounds amazing, and is very comfortable in my arms. I don't like the super light strings so I have a set of 10's on the way. I'm giving the NYXL strings a try per a recommendation from Duffy and others. This guitar is everything I hoped it to be and after lurking here for quite some time it's nice to finally be in the "club". As others have mentioned the padded gig bag is the best on the market. Sweetwater's service was outstanding. This is a quality instrument and I would have paid a lot more for it without hesitation. I'm trying to get the photos to work but I think I did something wrong.

Congratulations. Love how they did a black back, ivory bonding and a really nice grain on the top. Enjoy ....

First go to photobucket.com and open an account. Then load all your pictures to your computer. Go back to photobucket's site and open your account. Mess around with it and "upload" you pictures, with some experience you will be able to designate various folders, I usually label folders by date.

When you click on "upload" pictures in photobucket you can choose "brose" and go to you computer's pictures files and hold down "shift" or "control" while you click on the pictures you want to upload to photobucket (I'm not sure if it's shift or control that lets you pick specific pictures so the ones you pick turn blue. Then you just right click one of the selected pictures and select it for uploading and all of them will upload to photobucket. It takes some messing around with but this is the general idea. You have to go between the computer files and the photobucket site with your account.

Once you get the pictures uploaded into your "library" in photobucket you can click on the library and it will show you all your pictures. When you hover your mouse over any picture there will be four options at the bottom of the picture to select. Select the IMG one, highlight it in blue and right click and select "copy"; then go to your thread, which you have already started, and place the blinking cursor where you want to put the photo and right click and select paste. A line of computer language will get placed there but then you should submit your post to the forum and see if the picture shows up like it should. Use the IMG link and copy its text below the picture in photobucket - then paste it into your thread. This will work if you did everything correctly. If not keep trying. You will get it down fairly quickly, but it might be slightly frustrating until you do.

Once you get the photobucket posting to the thread process down, do it a bunch of times. Post a bunch of pictures, and do it for a few days to get it ingrained into your memory. It is easy to forget how to do it. Try to make posting pictures using photobucket a habit. We want to see all kinds of pictures anyway.

Good luck with it and don't let it get you down - you can master photobucket with a little work.

Here is my first one, before I got my tobacco sunburst black Friday one that I haven't taken pictures of yet (I have to go to the Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse, NY tomorrow for serious kidney surgery on Wednesday. Very serious. I've had things on my mind other than pictures but I'll post some when I get home. My real name is Matthew Bolduc if you want to send me a card, ha ha; I'll be there for a week or so). Here is my first SE Custom 24 I got about a month or so ago.

Does anyone know how I can fix the pictures so that they show in the thread?

Using the "Insert Image" tool/icon, copy the URL from your photbucket page where it says "Direct Link" and paste in.

Like this:

(If you hit "reply-with-quote" to my post you will see the "IMG" tags inside the square brackets and the URL I copied from your photobucket image page.)

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to say: Nice looking guitar!

I think I got it now. Thanks for the help you two. Take care Matthew and here's to a speedy recovery. That's a beautiful guitar you have there.

Nice job of mastering that photoshop in short order. Beautiful pictures of a beautiful guitar. I dig that black back. That would look cool with some raw nickel silver pickup covers too.

Thanks for the best wishes. Hopefully I'll be watching he forum from my hospital bed during recovery, if all goes well.

I wanted the saphire one for so long and then I decided to get these two flamed top ones. Totally great guitars.

Next I might get a new amp to add to my collection. A guy by me makes hand made point to point amps for a reasonable price; Fender and Marshall types. I might have him build me one with around twenty watts or so.

Then again a Fender Blues Junior might be a great little amp. I have my Marshall bases covered and even some of my Fender bases, but a small Fender would be very useful.

Also since the BBCode is allowed on this site, you can use the tag to up load pictures. Just type [img]url of picture here[/img ] (with out the space between the "g" and the "]", it needs to be there for be to explain it to you. Like this, here's a picture of my partner in crime a little over a year ago.

That is a really nice looking guitar, it is a quality profesional grade instrument. It's not easy to find that kind of guitar at that Price. Enjoy your guitar.
