I recently purchased a PRS SE CUSTOM 24-08, in the second half of August 2022, which was made @ the "PT CORT factory in Indonesia.
Now don't me wrong, all in all it's a great Git but.... I've had multiple issues that lead me to believe that the quality control could be a lot better than what it is.
Firstly: The screw holes for the back spring & tremblock plate where made too big for the screws that they used as they don't screw tight, they just keep spinning & fall out, so I had to put some thicker gauge screws.
Secondly: The lower screw that holds a bridge pick up & also adjusts how higt or low the pick up is from the strings was not even screwed in to the pick up.
Thirdly: The screw that holds the 1st string/high E was barely screwed in & had loosened itself & fell out whilst in the included PRS SE gig bag & if it hadn't fallen out in the gig bag, I would've otherwise lost it.
Finally Fourt: Now I know that is normal over time but not after the first 3hrs spent playing my new baby. The input jack was not installed correctly & so I had to fix it myself & now {thankfully}, I haven't had any more problems with it.
Now overall, this is actually a pretty good little Git but.... Being on a pension due to multiple mental health diagnosis, I can't afford to be spending more money on a guitar that has cost me $1350 Australian & due to these problems I highly doubt that I'd consider spending over $1000 Australian buying another PRS.
Has anyone else had any similar problems & do you know whether or not PRS would consider doing something to make up for my disappointment in buying what I thought was a REALLY GOOD GUITAR but is actually not so great.
