Hey guys!
This is my first post on the forum so bear with me here! I've had this PRS SE Custom 22 for a while now and I've decided to make a few modifications. I'm really into the Hipshot bridges but I don't know if they will fit. Right now it just has the stock wraparound bridge. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First, welcome!

Second, don't replace it. The PRS bridge is the best-designed wraparound there has ever been and unless you use some truly bizarre string gauge it intonates perfectly. I suggest doing no more than putting on locking studs because you can't improve on the design.

I have 4 SE`s with replaced bridges. I didn`t automatically replace them, I did it because I felt the sound could be improved. My favorite, after trying them all, is the Schroeder bridge and locking stud combination. I got this from Mike Garvey on the forum. They sustain well, stay in tune beautifully, and the high end is consistently clearer. If you go this route, Jason Schroeder will slot them for very little money. It`s worth every penny.

Thanks for the replies! I use some heavier string gauges (11-52) so I'm not sure if the stock bridge is a good fit. I looked at the Schroeder bridge and I'm sure it sounds great but I'm going more for comfort than tone. I really like the hip shot style bridges because they are extremely flat. Are there any wrap around bridges that would fit the guitar and have that kind of "hipshot" style? Thanks!

The stock will work fine with 11-52. I've never actually played a guitar with the Hipshot installed, but I gotta say I like the PRS design better than ones with adjustable saddles for its simplicity. It's also super-comfortable to rest your palm on.

Thank you so much for the help! While we're here, would you suggest installing PRS locking tuners or something from a third party. I've been looking into the sperzel tuners but I don't know if they're worth it.

I don't find any fault with the SE wrap around.

For tuners, you can't beat the Grover 406, IMO.

Plus one on the Grover 406. They are a drop-in for the se line. I upgraded my tuner buttons to ebony for my antique white se single cut. I too went with the schroeder bridge. Very nice. I was looking at the hipshot but I believe I did not go with it due to measurements. I could be off on that so make sure to check. The only reason I upgraded the bridge is cause I wanted adjustable saddles. The stock se worked fine but I wanted to see what an adjustable bridge with brass saddles could do and never took Schroeder back off.
