The issue with the SE singlecuts I have seen so far in a les paul case is they are straight neck like a les paul junior or special.

So I searched for a LPJ case and found the TKL 7824. Anybody tried this? I am thinking of being the test dummy. There is also an arch top model the TKL 8824, which is $25 more. However, I've not had an issue with flat cases yet.

Just eyeballin', I'd say the arched looks like a better bet. Look at how tall the first neck rest point is on the flat top. That would indicate it is made for around a minimum 4* neck angle. The arched appears to be a flatter plane for less neck angle. Just going by the pictures. I have had good service from the TKL line, even in this economy range.

The details say it is for a straight necked single cut (no neck angle).. so I think the first neck rest is cut really deep. I think I've seen this case used by a few vendors who sell the tremonti SE in a case. I'm looking for a photo.

The arched is better no doubt... if for no other reason the arched top is better protection.

I've seen this ChromaCast (Amazon link) come up in my searches time and time again. It reviews well and it looks like the hardware is fairly rugged, which is where TKL has failed me lately; the hinges in particular. You can do worse for under $86 shipped.

I saw that too, however I thought it was for a les paul type body (4.5d angled neck). If you look at the TKL details above and the 3 photos I've added with the tremonti SE in one, they say it's a Les Paul Junior case - a straight necked type LP.

Looking for photos now of the ChromaCast with a SE singlecut style guitar.

I know there is stigma regarding $500+ instruments and anything less than a bombshelter casing, but if you can stomach a good rugged softcase, you can't do much better for right around $100 than the SKB LP softcase (another Amazon link). I use a SKB softcase similar in design to this for my Breedlove acoustic and it's great. I've loaded it in my car next to my other hardcases and 2x12 combo and no damage. Great thing about these cases is the storage. No more cable bags to tote around. Again, not gonna be fore everyone. But there are a few YouTube reviews on this page in particular with PRS Singlecuts being the focus.

Worth a consideration.

One of the Amazon reviews states that he's got his SE Tremontis in the ChromeCast.

<> Cheater<> you had something to read. Now, I am seriously in the market for a conventional case like this for my S2 Singlecut.. And so, based upon your representations, I plan to order one when my guitar gets back from some rare "do-over" warranty refinish.

I feel more confident of the humidity control in a hard shell case. I live in Arizona, just South of Phoenix. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much.

Same reason for me. My guitar outweighs my dog by a couple of pounds<>, so he doesn't knock it over on the stand, but humidity control is a real issue. Thank you, gentlemen.
