Finally acquired the Se Locking tuners from PRS and installed on the SE 245. It was a very easy swap, and did some other investigation.

First off, when you get your new guitar CHECK YOUR TUNERS! After removing all the strings all of the tuner post nuts were loose, and all of the tuners were loose on the mounting screws! It was stable when I got it 3 weeks ago, and I still wish I would have checked it.

Naked 245!

Tuners off of Headstock. Looks like the finish wasn't totally cured as there are impressions in the finish...as I stated before the nuts and screws were totally loose so not cranked down.

Neck pickup, angle from bridge of guitar, label reads left to right. I am convinced the neck pickup is a reversed, flipped around bridge pickup. The neck pickup barrel must of been empty!

If you look at this picture and image you are again looking from the bridge angle, the label is reversed.

Aren't the neck and bridge pickups wound differently on the bobbins so the phase is correct and the bobbin colors are correct?

After a play or two, the brass posts def add something to the tone that was not there with the stock tuners.

I'm not saying it's a stark difference, just there is a bit more of high-end and low end sustain.

Today I took an ohmmeter reading at two different points far apart in the cavity and got 0.143 ohms.

Tried the same on a painted wall in the room and got infinity ohms.

I think this is shielding paint
