Se 245 Pickups, Sound?

Hello,

as i stated in another post for a pitty my SE 245 Standard came faulty, so 'till now i think i never heard the Guitar as it was really desired to sound.

After repairing the faulty part (the cable from toggle switch to output) the Pickups are noticeably brighter than in all other variations before.

So please can somebody confirm that the SE 245 Pickups are on the bright side?

I find the neck pickup to be brighter than most, something I really like. I hate muddy sounding neck pickups, especially on singlecuts.

Also depends on which guitar/model they're in, along with height and set up adjustments...
We've got a few SE's with those and they sound a bit different depending on these factors.

It's in a SE 245 Standard.

Thx, Andy, than my ears are not lying. Me too i find the Neck PU quiet bright and close to the Bridge soundwise.

I'm not sure if i should try a Set of Seymour Duncan '59 PAF which i have lying around?
