SE 245 Neck vs Zach Myers Neck

Hello,

This is my first post and just joined the forum... I tried searching for this specific topic but couldn't find one. If this has already been discussed, please let me know.

Does anyone know if there is a big difference, or any difference at all, between the 245 neck and the Zach Myers neck? I do know the ZM has a sanded finish neck whereas the 245 doesn't. I just read on another forum that the Bernie neck is larger than the ZM. So, is the ZM bigger or smaller than the 245? And is it more wide or more fat etc.? I wish I could have the opportunity to play either the Bernie or the ZM. I've purchased the ZM vintage sunburst quilt and have about 3 weeks to go before it arrives.

Has anyone seen a pic or a video of ZM vintage sunburst? I have seen the spalted maple. No doubt the burst will look great.

According to the spec sheets, both the 245 and the ZM have "wide fat" necks (but then again they list that for the Bernie as well). My *guess* is that the only difference between a 245 neck and a ZM neck is the finish, but not having laid hands on a ZM, I don't know that for sure.

I own both and the only thing different to my feeling is the satin/sanded finish on the ZM. ENJOY!!!
