Hi
I am new here... (sorry for my poor english, I am from portugal... not native)
I am a sort of newbie on guitars also.
I have an LTD viper 10.
I willl upgrade...
I love metal, no only, but a lot.
I do lead and rithm.... I am a debut "player"
I am thinking in PRS 24 se custom floyd.
Does this guitar can have low action... I have some problems in my hand... so I need a guitar that have realy low action to reduce effort.
It is smoothly payable...
not huge hands... but above average....
Thank you in advance

I don't have experience with the 24 Custom Floyd myself, but with the right setup (by an experienced Luthier, if you're new to guitar work) any guitar can have pretty low action. It's a matter of adjustments, although there are some compromises. Really low action can negatively affect tone and sustain, and cause some fret buzzing. A good Luthier will work with you to find the best balance for what you want. Good luck, and welcome!

Hi
Thank you very much.
I made a shime in my viper, has now an acceptable action.
I just wanto to know if this prs is easy to play ang allow a good setup, even is not a top guitar.
I have huge problems with neck dive in my viper, and the fact that I have to eat a big meal to handle all that weight.
Thank you

Well, again, I haven't played that specific model, but I do have 6 PRS guitars - some SE's and some Cores. All are easy to play, and definitely are able to be set-up to whatever your preference is. So I'm sure the same is true of the Floyd, although any Floyd trem is more complex than a traditional non-locking trem, and therefore requires a bit more work and patience when setting up, changing strings, etc.
As far as neck dive, I'm a big fan of the Suede leather straps - they stay in place well on my shoulder and there's little to no unwanted movement

Hi
Thank you for all your patiente with me and my doubts.
I belive that I can setup that guitar and make it easy to play.
I know there are many "hacks" to neck dive including straps with high friction.
As I said... I am a newbie... I play...(or... learn to can play one day :) )... seated.
Well, I have a big trauma with viper LTD...
If PRS SE 24 custom does not have neck dive.... I think I will go on PRS instead LTD EC 1000....
Floyd It is a down to me.... but.. when we count money... we have to leave some things.... and deicide what is best with that money we have to spent.
Thank you
