I bought a set of these and have yet to install them. I'm a little leery of the diameter of the attached screw on the button. Anybody installed these yet? Any trepidation over the larger screw?

I did install them on my bling bling zach myers se. I was a little reluctant due to the larger screws but everything went ok. And they are a lot easier to fit on the strap. And yes they make less noise

I put them on an MEII, Dirty 100, Ltd Sig, Knaggs Doug Rappaport and an Patrick James Eggle 96. No issues at all. I don't really think they are that much larger. They went in really easy.

I thought the schaller used same diameter screw as prs stock screw?

It's really close. They went into my PRSes just like the old ones came out. Easy peasy. They were a little tight on a couple of the others brands that I put them on.

OK, I guess you're pretty confident in those! I too have been thinking about them but leery of the screws. Thanks!

Yay! Have them on my PS. Screw is slightly larger diameter than the prs screw, but not enough to get uptight about. The locks fit on the old buttons, you just lose the silent feature. I need to order some extra sets of buttons since I use the same strap most of the time.

I was just thinking about buying the first set yesterday. Great minds...

My two straps have had the same Schaller hardware on them for decades and it’s more than time for an upgrade. Bodia’s adoption makes me feel less concerned, too.

Once putting in the larger screw can one use the Schaller screws with the PRS buttons? i.e. if you want to trade the guitar (which I know nobody but Bodia does).

Negative. The screw and button are one piece. It takes an Allen wrench to screw it into the guitar

I think he means can you change back. You’d need a supply of toothpicks I assume.

Oh yeah, you can change back. I'd have toothpicks on hand, but not sure you'd need them. I thought he was asking if you could use the screw from the Schaller and the old PRS button. That will not work.

Upon further review (I always wanted to say that ), I think you’re initial interpretation was what he was asking. My bad.

Love the PRS buttons on their guitars, but use the bigger Schaller-style ones on most of my basses. Where you can lock in or use a regular strap over the piece attached to the body.

I just installed a set and it was easey-peasey, and they're a hell of a lot easier to install on a thick strap than the old style.
