sc250 w/loose tuners

I have a SC245 with the keystone tuners on it and the tuners are very loose and easy to turn. Is there anyway to tighten them or upgrade them without putting extra holes in it. Or could they be upgraded with kolson tone pros

I wish I had a concrete answer for you. Maybe contact tone pros and ask them.

As for being loose, I'd have to look at my McCarty again because I don't remember any adjustments being available.

If the SC250 is stock it will have phase 2 tuners. There is a set screw in the knob you turn with your fingers. If you tighten it they will have more resistance.

There is a direct replacement (though I can't imagine wanting to replace phase 2's), but I don't remember who makes them. Just tighten the set screw and you will be set.
