SAS pickup upgrade?

Who has switched out their pups for another set of PRS buckers? I am thinking Grissoms maybe?

However, every time I take a break from McCarty’s and then plug in the guitar I have with them I wonder why I don’t play it all the time.

McCarty pups in there now. I am wanting a bit more clarity, from the neck especially.

Personally, I would do a 59/09 in the bridge, and a 57/08 in the neck, and leave the middle alone.

Dragon II neck pickups are cheap, covered, and clear sounding. Just a thought.

Try NYXL's before you do anything, and lower the pickup height slightly. My SAS rocks this way.

This was going to be my suggestion. I have a covered bridge just waiting for a guitar to live in.

Personally I liked the Mccarty neck just couldn't bond with the bridge.

I’d put in 57/08s, but 53/10s are a great idea, too.

My only PRS pickup experience is with 53/10s, so I have a vested interest in recommending them too
