Santana SE models with binding and birds

So I currently have a Santana SE (latest version) with 24 frets, bird inlays, Santana yellow. Ended up buying a USA Santana a few days ago. Looking for another SE with binding. Saw *one* SE on reverb with binding, birds, 22 frets and the more normal PRS knob placement. It sold while I was looking at USAs.

How rare are SE's with neck binding and birds, 22 frets, regular knob placement? Seems like there are some weird variations here and there, I guess special runs. Thanks in advance!

Just random special runs of Standards (mahogany) mostly for the EU market IIRC.

That is awesome, thanks for sharing! Was starting to think I was nuts for liking the SEs and the USA models, usually when someone likes the USA versions of guitar brands they don't care much for the imports. Now to lurk and wait for something to come up on reverb or another exclusive.

If PRS did another EU run, are they allowed by PRS to sell new to the USA?
