If there are any dealers out there who would do a run of guitars like the one Santana played in his Masterclass lesson, I would be first in line! *Jacket sold separately*

Beautiful! I think Sweetwater had one like this a few years ago. Pretty sure if was Blue Fade. I tend to stalk all the Blue colored PS fiddles in the wild..or at least I did before my ninja days came abruptly to an end :D

Of course, everyone has seen his one he calls "Salmon", and his reddish one and I think he has a goldtop. But I've never seen this one. Can I be 3rd in line. @Sevenandaquarter, behind you and @HANGAR18 ?

btw, did you take his Masterclass? If so, report? I thought about it but figured the last thing I need is another guitar course.

Yup! Salmon is the "Supernatural" guitar and his new goldtop is a custom McCarty 594 SC with a trem and the Santana headstock that he's playing on his current tour. It has a hand-applied gold leaf finish:

IMO the Masterclass was worth it because you get to learn some real licks and chops, but also some real musical insight. Some people don’t care for Santana’s “mystical” philosophy stuff, but the course is more about finding the truth in your playing and your sound. Channeling your influences moreso than copying them. I have to say, the guy is truly a great musician. He’s an amazing rhythm player as well, which we never get to see, and knows exactly what all the other instruments are doing.

Its much more a Single Cut Santana as it has the 24.5" Scale (not 24.594" where the 594 gets its name) and has 24 frets like a Santana as well as a Pattern neck carve - not Pattern Vintage. It also has a trem bridge too which really makes this a different guitar to a 594 and apart from the layout of the knobs and, I assume, a thicker body, its quite different from a 594. I don't know what Pups Santana probably uses but if its like the one you linked, then the Pups are hotter too with more winds as it has the 58/15's not the 58/15 LT's.

There is an SE version of this guitar too - obviously not real gold leaf but you can buy an SE Single Cut Santana that has the same 'key' specs - the 24 frets, 24.5" scale, trem bridge etc and was announced back at the last Winter NAMM.

Yup you’re absolutely right. Lark called it a McCarty so then my mind went to 594 and then got all confused.

The Private Stock team built this for Carlos and they can build one for you as well.

Thanks Shawn! Can someone confirm the specs? Are these the prototype Santana pickups Paul was speaking about in the recent interview with Rick Beato? They look like TCIs.
