Santana III transformation: from Playa to Slaya

I ordered these East Indian rosewood tuner buttons to compliment the fretboard.

I thought that the tuner buttons would look great in rosewood, but I didn’t want the truss rod cover to be the same material as the fretboard. I really like how the black knobs look on the body, so I went with ebony for the knobs, switch tip, and truss rod cover.

These parts are from Crazyparts in Germany so they may take a little while to get here.

I’ll tell you what...I do not think that I will be able to swap out these Santana pickups. They are very good. I’m often unhappy with neck pickups but this one is fantastic.

I guess I’ll put on the brass tremolo and see how the chrome pickups look. Maybe I’ll pop off the chrome covers?

I've just ordered a rosewood electrics cover plate for my PRS from crazyparts last night. Unfortunately I also had an email saying it would take 6-8 weeks. Something to look forward to I suppose
