Not super familiar with the model.
It seems some came with full Brazilian rosewood neck, other cheaper ones with Brazilian fingerboard only.

Were any of them Brazilian fingerboard + East Indian rosewood neck ?

I spotted one a hair below $5k described as 'Brazilian' which clearly has a rosewood neck. The pictures are crappy, the descripton non-existent, and it's from a reputable store (I guess).

I remember there was a run of full braz neck...
Outside of that run I guess you could order a rosewood neck and get IRW...

Is it a 2003?
From the PRS model history page:

SANTANA BRAZILIAN: 2003. Brazilian rosewood neck and fretboard, 11.5” radius, 24.5” scale, Eagle on H.S. Santana fret wire, Green Ripple Abalone birds, 10 top flame, Santana II purfling, Santana III pickups, gold/nickel hardware mix – Limited Run of 200 guitars with engraved numbered backplate.

I will try to call that store. Their pictures (poor) and description (non-existent) provide little information (it does look good though)

I do see it has a boomerang back plate, whereas other Santana II I see all seem to have a triangular one... I really have to call the store, maybe get the S/N and check what this thing is with PRS on Monday...

Post a pic?

Not sure if it helps (very crappy pictures) but that's all I have:

Looks Very nice...I’ve been watching that one myself.
I don’t think it’s one of the Ltd run, as you’ve noted, not the correct backplates.

It's a boomerang because the volume knob is up by the treble PU, for easy volume swells. "Standard" Santana controls are volume/tone/switch well below the bridge.

Yuck...Looks like Guitar Center photos... :p

Yeah, that’s gotta be from like, 2012 or something what with the wrong knob placement and phase III’s.

Thanks. Legit as in "full BZRW neck" ? Fair price ? (I guess it's a bit risk free anyways seeing where this one is listed at).
Sorry...edited to clarify. I think it is probably an artist package (blue fade is and artist color, and even in crappy pic it looks like a nice tubular quilt), probably EIRW neck and Braz board (says USA only on headstock). The RW neck does look very dark in the pic...but unless it’s some kind of special one-off...probably not full BRW neck. Still potentially a very nice guitar. I think your plan to get the SN and check w PRS is a good one. If it is an artist package or WL dealer run...I’d try to get a better price. That national dealer’s price flexibility varies widely by location...good luck. (Make sure you discuss directly with the store manager.)

I’d agree with this.

Thanks that was my thinking as well depending on the neck’s wood: great price if BZRW, too high otherwise compared to the current Santana model

Yeah...GC can be painful...but they’ve had some pretty nice PRS stuff in lately, and the return policy makes things close to zero risk. They had a few CAD amps up for stupid low prices. I was able to snag a sweet employee 513 with maple neck for a great price. Then again...couldn’t get anything reasonable for a KL380 or KL33 I was interested in. I also snagged a Manley VoxBox for 1/4 the new price...so it is worth sifting through “the trash” sometimes.
