Hey all, I need the advice of my guitarded bretheren.

I was in the local Guitar Center and saw they just took in a very nice (but played) Santana (I). the selling price is much lower than I have seen in years. but I am strapped for cash at the moment.

Do I trade in a couple of my beloved PRSi or do I walk away and hope that no one buys it for a few months?

Thoughts?

Depends on how bad your GAS is! I've always been of the belief that, if you see it and REALLY want it, buy it now. If its a great deal, it won't be there in a month.

I had just bought two PRS SEs recently. Saw a gorgeous CE22 at SA, played it and had to have it. Traded in 3 other guitars (nearly drowned in the bath I took) to get it. Am I sorry? Not one bit!

Trust me....if it's in decent condition...and a genyooine Santana 1....it won't be there in a month. It won't be there in a week if I am able to locate it .

Seriously..... I love Santana 1's..they are my favorite production PRS. Extra points if it's a 1995 model....you don't see too many of those. Many extra points if it's the first 100 which were signed by Carlos.

Tell us more....year, color, type of play wear.

And yes...you should sacrifice whatever you need to in order to obtain it (said the guy who traded two 2011 Tree of Life PRS, a Dragon-2, a PS Phoenix, an Artist-1, a Blistertone, and others; in his recent successful quest to obtain a 1959 Strat and a 1961 SG/LP with PAF's).

Not sure I want to share this with you.. You may go steal b4 i can make my decision.. :)

Oh OK.. 1997 Santana Yellow. Condition is stated as 8/10. I was told that the frets can be dressed a bit. I have not played it yet..

I promise not to grab it. Depending on condition...if you can buy this for $4K you have stolen it IMO. Let us know the outcome! Good luck.

Which of your other PRSi get little playing time? I would put those on the block...but only if I "had" to have the Santana....
