Sad news for Dumble Fans

I'd say that is less and less true as time passes. I've never been a huge fan of Dumble tones, because of the kind of music I play and listen too, but Tag's clips of his 183, and the Quinn and now Louis Electric clones of it are some of the best tones I've ever heard. So good that I'd gladly buy one and use that tone often. Just incredible sounding amps!

I'd say that is less and less true as time passes.

What you can originate, and what you can copy, involve different knowledge/skills/inspirations.

The fact that any number of people have been able to take the amps apart and clone them doesn't take anything away from the knowledge base of the originator. so I don't think PRS' quote is any less true at all.

As an aside, one of my best pals was Dumble's business lawyer in Santa Cruz. He always said that Dumble was a super-nice guy, didn't have a big ego, etc. So that's pretty cool, too.
