If you've never seen one nor played one in person, and neither has your friend, why would you want to make a knock-off of something neither of you have ever touched and only saw in a picture?
If you have that much great guitar building skills that all you need is one side picture of a guitar, you should be able make one that's all your own and customized to what your friend wants/needs/likes and not make a copy of a PRS SH. How do you even know that body to neck angle is good for "your friend"?
Not sure you should be soliciting an official PRS forum for help telling us you're trying to make a PRS knock off (I see you're also looking for matching #7 pickups which came in the SH). Making your own guitar that is uniquely your design, that's fine and kudos to you if you can do it. That's how Paul started. Making a copy, not cool.
And yes, you CAN get whatever woods you want, it's called private stock.
