Just need to confirm: the size of a S2 SC 3-way toggle switch tip cap.

If it's the aftermarket Gibson LP Switchcraft SAE 8-32 type, please confirm, otherwise, indicate what tip cap type this is.

Thanks in advance.

I had no idea those were things. I've always just grabbed whatever said metric or imperial based origin of my switch.

If you want a black one, I'm pretty sure I have one from an SE sitting around I can send you.

Ah. S2 would denote an import, then. Thanks very much for your offer, but I was doing some research trying to "fly above the ack-ack" today and chanced upon a luthiery in PA that does custom work. Thought that putting a 3-way toggle switch plate on my S2 would look cool, but after some deliberation, discovered that the switch plate would not sit flat on the beveled surface.

Then wondered if a metal (aluminum or gold) 3-way toggle might add some panache. There are 2 distinct metric sizes, the M4.0 x.6, and the M3.5 x .7. The luthiers provides a combo pack of the 2 metric sizes in plastic in case you get it wrong, but only in black, cream, off-white, and amber. The US sizes are more plentiful.

Here's the link, in case you might need replacement parts for F, G, or F/G import guitars.

IIRC, the Switchcraft 3-way toggle PRS uses in its S2 line compares to US G or more likely, G-import metric switches.
