S2 Pots?

OK, so from my other thread which you may or may not have read, I had some intermittent switch failures on my Vela. Just one evening, but once is enough that I've gone ahead and ordered a switchcraft replacement.

Now I'm wondering if, while tinkering, I should just go ahead and replace the pots - one and done electronics upgrade. I've had no issue with them, and I'm happy with the taper on the volume pot. I really never use the tone pot, just the push-pull portion.

I'm not one to change things out just for the sake of change, but reliability is important to me. If I were to switch pots, what would you recommend?

Thanks!

When I rewired my Vela, I did the whole lot, CTS tvt pots and switchcraft toggle, put in two mini toggles which now split both the humbuckers and another for a master mute. The only thing I left was the jack, because its same as core (switchcraft ?)

The reason I did it was for peace of mind as its my gigging guitar and needs to be reliable.

@Aahzz did you message PRS about the switch? I'm just asking because my SE switch also went intermittent. I too bought a Switchcraft as it's easy enough to replace. But I'm wondering how many of these switch failures might be happening, and if PRS should know about it.

I didn't, since I bought the Vela used. If I had been the original owner I'd have contacted them.
