Anyone have a shot of their S2 or SE Mira without the pickguard? I love the Mira shape, but the pickguard/pup mount combo irks me. I'm curious what the body looks like under the pickguard.

Thanks.

Everything is mounted to the pickguard, there would just be an empty cavity under it. Same like a Strat or Silver Sky.

Yeah, thanks. I'm wanting to see what I would be working with if I were top replace the pickguard and go with mounting rings.

I've always wondered whether an S2 Custom Standard pickguard work on a Mira. I think those pickguards are way better looking than the Mira's. Never understood why they went with that strange design.

Thanks for the offer. I wouldn't mind, but I like the fact that it has traveled around and still ended up with you. Maybe in the future. If you look to move it, let me know. Otherwise, bang on it like it owes you money.

Well, I’m not totally trying to be rid of it but I’ve become kinda “guitar rich” since you’ve been away. I’m also not really playing anything without a trem, and I initially bought it for the 57/08’s thinkin’ I could slap some Mira pups in there and move it... that never happened, but maybe it’s just because I was holding it for you?

No go, unless you add some wood blocks to help support the rings. Then you're left with chopping up the pickguard or crafting a new one. The Core Mira guard is not going to fit.

This is my former Singlecut, but my Std24 and all the others are done the same way:

The wooden mira pickguard you did is stunning. I can't think of anything better than that.
