S2 Mira Tuner replacements?

Hi there,
I recently acquired a used PRS S2 Mira, which sounds and plays great, but I'm running into an issue with the stock tuners. They are the S2 locking tuners, but they are repeatedly slipping out of tune and seem very sensitive to the smallest movement.

Has anyone else experienced this with the S2 tuners? I've read online that they are in fact different from the phase II tuners.

Do I have any real options for replacements/alternatives? I searched through these forums but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
I have an S2 Custom 22 Semi-Hollow with the S2 tuners, and my guitar stays in tune as well as my core 408 with the Phase III tuners.

Might just be an issue with your set?
Can you take it back for the dealer to check out?

Yeah everything is set up just fine, and the strings have been well stretched. I've been using 10's on it, but it seems some of the tuners are more prone to slipping. The tuners are super easy to turn, which is quiet different from other prs guitars I have played in the past.

I would email customer service and see if you can get some more of the black thumb screws, PRS has been sending one or two spares with the S2's I've purchased. But all mine have been rock solid, even with trem use.

Hmm I'll send an email and see. The tuners I have are closed on the back, I there a way to pop them off for adjustment?

We're talking about the Phillips head screw which holds the button onto the shaft (not the part the string goes through). You should be able to see it if you look at your headstock from side on...

Yep, on the S2 tuners the more you tighten the tuner button, the stiffer it is to turn.
Found this out when I swapped buttons.
It will also change the pitch of the string which is strange as I do not recall that happening when I changed the buttons on my Phase III tuners on my 408.
