I was really excited to see the semi Hollow S2 come out. The Blue Crab smoke looks like the color for me. I figured as soon as I get some other gear purchases out of the way I could get one. However that probably going to be a year or so. On a whim I noticed Sweetwater had them on the site & I clicked to ley me knwo when they are in stock. Thought I would see what pic of actual ones look like before pulling the trigger. Well my sales rep emails me saying they are discontinued & they only shipment they will get is September. Is there any truth to that. He has ALWAYS played stright with me so I'm hopeing the info they got was just wrong. If anyone has info on the fate of this line let me know. I would be really bummed to see that in almost a month of announcing them they are discontinued even before I see the first one in stores.

They just launched them a month or two ago. I seriously, seriously doubt they would discontinue them that fast. That would just be a poor business decision all around.

The COLOR Blue Crab Blue is going away, but the S2 Hollowbody models will be here for a good long time.

The blue crabs in the Chesapeake bay filed a copyright infringement lawsuit.
The color has been around for a long time, actually, on Core models.
More than likely because its just a bad color for a lightly figured top and it wasn't selling. I hope PRS goes for more opaque colors. Maybe even something along the lines of the old hot hues colors. Copper would like great on the S2s

Hopefully they change the name of the color I thought it was pretty cool. Perhaps the figured it was to close to the gray one. Hard to see they were not selling since they were only out for a month. Guess I can gain some time to get my last gear paid off and still get a S2 semihollowbody. Just when I thought I did not need another guitar they come out whith theses. GAS is a sickness.
