Funny, my S2 has one of the nicest boards I have ever owned. Vibrant dark rose with brown streaks, nice quartersawn grain, feels very dense and well dried. Not all trees grow the same, not all boards are the same colour.

what year was the guitar made, I played custom 24 S2, about 4 years ago seemed nice,
I know that the pressure is on all the guitar manufacturers, to find quality rosewood,
we might be moving to a place where any scrap of rosewood is awesome.
all the Gibsons I own are not as good as the PRS rosewood
