S2 Finish Flake at Neck Joint...

I've have my S2 Mira for about 2 years. Never left the house, never gigged - it's living the good life. Today, I noticed that the finish is flaking or chipping at the neck joint. I plan to contact the dealer on Monday. I'm concerned that there might be neck movement causing the strange flake/chip. Or, maybe this area wasn't prepped well before finished? Anyone else have similar problems?

It's paint on wood, sometimes the oils in the wood make the paint not stick. PRS will repair it as part of their warranty.

I've had it a couple of times over the 25 years I've played PRS guitars. PRS is great about standing behind their product.

Just heard from PRS regarding my S-2 Mira. They said that apparently the neck joint did not set well and there is apparently small movement causing the finish issue. They are sending me a new guitar! I'm impressed! PRS really stands behind their work!

Same problem but not at a joint. PRS warranty was great.

Yep, happened to me too on an S2 Starla, PRS replaced the guitar very quickly. A+ service!
