I'm getting ready to upgrade the volume pots on my 594 and want to make the volume controls in independent. The middle switch position and dual volumes drive me nuts.

Where do I find the diagram for this in a PRS guitar? I did the pickup wire move from outside lug to center on the stock pots, but want to take it all the way when I do the pot replacement.

I don't know if this is the 50's wiring or what, and I need to rid this sweet axe of (for me) this limitation.

Thanks all!

Not sure how to even answer this. As any 2 volume with a 3 way switch would likely always be interactive with both pickups selected.

Have you tried the "clean neck, dirty bridge" trick?

Yeah, was hoping for the impossible I guess. That's the King Buzzo way to work the controls, I'm a bit more dynamic in my playing although Buzz does get some sweet tonez with that volume control method!

Just use a Les Paul diagram for the independent volumes.

50's wiring is tones to the center volume lugs and interactive volumes.

Independent volumes is a modern thing. I've read there's a lot of treble loss when rolling back the volumes in that configuration. May want to get yourself some treble bleed caps while you're at it.

Thanks man! The PRS designed pots I got from the PRS store have the treble bleeds already installed, very nice!
