S2 24 custom with .11 chords

Hi people!

Just bought an S2 Custom 24 and put on some .11 strings. Everything goes well and the guitar stays in tune, no problems.
What does worry me is that the tremolo bridge comes up a little (like .5 cm) . As I said, it doesn't bother me, just worried it might damage something somewhere in the long run. Is it OK to use .11 on this guitar since it has the tremolo bridge. Should I do something ??
It would be really disappointing if i couldn't use the .11s!

help appreciated, don't wanna damage this excellent piece of art!

Other people here know way more about this than I do, but it won't hurt the guitar. You may want to tighten the screws on the tremolo claw inside the body a little to bring the bridge back down, and of course you'll have to retune after doing that. If the action's OK after that, and it stays in tune, you're good!

What Squid said. The bridge plate should be pretty much parallel to the top, but a little gap at the back shouldn't hurt anything. My Brent Mason model came set up for a half-step up-pull on the second string, and my bridge plate is parallel to the top with Elixir .010"-.046" strings at concert pitch. If your guitar came strung lighter than your .011"s, it probably wouldn't hurt to balance the spring tension with the string tension, but if it's staying in tune and the tremolo works well, just leave it alone! If it ain't broke don't fix it...
