Roll Call of Locations

Last time I was in Toronto was to present "1 day Rapid Opiate Detox" to a convention of Psychiatrists, and Medical specialists in Addiction. Sucked to hang out with them.

Highlight of the trip was the CN tower, and staying in the hotel that hosts the Toronto Blue Jays and watching the game from my hotel room which was in deep center field. My wife and I also took the day trip to Niagara Falls.

Great trip...except for the time I had to hang out with those lame-ass professionals who didn't want to talk music. Their conversations were more like, "do you use methadone or suboxone? I prefer Clonadine to manage the cramps associated with withdrawal". Hate those guys. No sense of humor. They consider me somewhat of an iconoclast within the profession as well. Wonder why??? :flute:

Methadone is just riddled with side effects and my experience is unless you give them a few days of sobriety before working in the Suboxone they will look as if they are having a demon exercised from their bodies. But I am with you on having to deal with those types of professionals, I work with them on a daily basis.

Hey Lloyd let me know when your heading to Austin!

HOLY MOSES!!! I am JEALOUS!!!

If I am ever at a gig where both David Grissom AND Eric Johnson play then I will need medical treatment! And if Billy, Pat Travers, Howard Leese, etc., etc. are there too then I'm done for!

Man, you wouldn't have a tool shed or garage I could bunk in, would you? I'm stuck up in the pothandle, and I don't get to Austin nearly enough.

Somewhere I have a picture of my entire family laying on the glass floor in CN Tower. I love that place. I want to do the Edge Walk, but I know it's likely to be a solitary venture - ain't no way my wife is going out there.

And there's no need to discuss something like this...

I honeymooned in TO, too!

And my marriage was also in jeopardy on Day One when we were in a store looking at something I wanted to buy, and my new bride said, "That's way too expensive." And I looked at the sales guy and said, "The wife says no."

Haha. I got the cold shoulder for several hours. "The wife" was ready to kick my rear.

Oh, I wasn't in trouble so much as she realized that even on my honeymoon I was looking for music stores.

Then again, I did once quit in the middle of a heavy makeout session with another girl because Kiss was on TV. Not really sure why that one didn't last. We broke up one day short of a month later. Did I mention that Kiss was on Fridays on Jan. 15? You do the math.

Huntington NY

Checking in from Huntington NY. It's on the northern shore of Long Island, just about the middle of the island....Home of Harry Chapin, John Coltrane, the Lockhorns Cartoonist, and of course me. (heehee). Great music town. We have the a Paramount Theatre which features some great acts....recently saw Chris Isaak also got tickets to see Emily Lou Harris. Free summer concerts in Heckshire Park and Northport. Billy Joel, probably the most famous musician from LI had a house with Christy Brinkley in Lloyds Neck, also in Huntington Township. He currently has a motorcycle store in Oyster Bay, not far from here.

Hello from here

An Englishman currently in the South West of France, hoping someday to emigrate to Canada. France is OK, wine and diesel are cheap but there is a cultural lack of sense of humour and decent local live music happens to other people, along with high speed internet, reliable post, and finding anything in the shops which isn't RRP, honestly they would rather not sell than discount. Did I mention wine was still cheap.

JD,

I'll do that. I don't travel a lot anymore, but when and if the time comes I'll contact you. I'm hoping to get to Austin sometime this year, but too soon to tell yet.

ChiSox fan, huh? :)

Yup! :D Actually, I don't care about baseball but I grew up in the south side so I would much rather go to that ballpark than the bandwagon jumpers ballpark on the northside. And I really don't care about pro-sports in general, per se, except hockey. I'll watch college football/basketball over the pros any day.

I'll be expecting that 408 soon. :)
