The technology and plan are in place; it will just take me some time to acquire all the necessary hardware. I will start the build as soon as I finish this current project. The main difference is that I won’t dismantle this board to start the new one; I need a functioning pedalboard as a baseline.
If I had a Time Machine and could do it all over again, I'd have gotten two smaller Schmidt boards instead of the single large one, and either run both in series when needed, or just use one at a time. Alternatively, with the Schmidt patch bay's insert point, I'd have the option of inserting one pedal chain into the other.
But mostly, it's that moving a large, heavy board around - even when it's just in the studio - has become a pain in the...uh...back!
It's better to make two lighter trips to set up anywhere, than one heavy one, at least at this point in my existence.
Unfortunately, now that I've already got the 750W board, it's kinda hard to justify buying two smaller ones.
Don't forget the bad part about remembering where you set the stuff from your first trip, when you (hopefully) return to roughly the same place on your second trip.
