Damn.
I will always remember how blown away I was when I saw him play.
He could shred on the guitar just as great as on the fiddle. Did not expect that!
He was using a custom Soldano SLO-100 combo and what looked to be a vintage LP that evening.
I went just for fun and left with my jaw in my hands.

Yeah, he could definitely shred. Only saw him once, back in the late 90s, IIRC. Bada$$ show, for sure.

Saw him 2 years ago at Sweetwater. Quite the entertainer, and I had no idea he was 81 then. RIP
