Riff after riff, album after album. Chuck Schuldiner was a craftsman.
Was that satan himself singing, or just one of his helpers? I'm not sure how much content ole Luc is releasing these days.I Love The Riffs In This One But A Few Really Stand Out.
Starting At 1:38 Things Build Nicely To 2:34 Mark From 2:34 To The 3:11 Point Things Just Progress To An Absolutely Pummeling Riff To End All Riffs (IMO Of Course). Great Stuff...Especially Live! What A Wall Of Sound And Power. Enjoy This One!
Slew Foot And His Minions Are One In The Same In My Book. He Is Putting Out More Content Than Ever As He knows His Time Is Short. That Said, The Guitar Parts Are Awesome And I Tune Out The Vocals On Most Of This Stuff Anyway,Was that satan himself singing, or just one of his helpers? Ok, so on the riffs…. Some of this type stuff I like. Some I really like. Some I don’t. Many times there is too much chugging of the low E or wherever the low E string is tuned, and not enough “other” stuff thrown in to keep my interest. Sometimes, it’s cool for a minute then gets repetitive, in part I’m sure, fueled by the constant chugging of the open low string.Slew Foot And His Minions Are One In The Same In My Book. So Did you Like The Riffs Or Not?

I’m talking in general about this type of stuff. Keep in mind, I love Megadeth. They’ve been known to chug a little bit on the open low string, but it’s not overdone to the point of boring. Perhaps I think that when there’s a 4 minute long song, and 90% of the riff notes are the same note, it’s probably not going to appeal to me. Just my opinion, and nothing wrong with it, just not for me.
Now the vocals… I can’t listen for more than a minute. If the riffage isn’t great, I’m out quickly because I CAN’T STAND either the scream vocals or the Cookie Monster stuff.
Wow, haven't listened to the Corpse in probably 30 years. I don't remember them being that good, that sounds awesome. The Main Intro Build Into The Core Riff Throughout The Song Is Clean, Precise, Articulate And Grindy All At Once. I Love The Stutters Thrown In Now And Then Along With The Hammer On Parts Sprinkled Throughout. It Just Chugs And Drinks Away...Great Stuff!
Some of them. But in some cases, I liked a riff you highlighted but might never make it through the whole song because of what I described above. Again, this is not a universal reply. Some of them I like. Some less so.Ok...So Did You Like These Riffs Or Not?
I remember seeing him play a bar in suburban detroit probably 20 years ago. Back before I was married and could stay out late. Those were the days.Does anybody here remember the PRS Experience when Paul hisself got Jim McCarty of Cactus up on stage to perform? I'd never heard of the guy or his band, but that mofo played single note rock riffs like he invented the damn things. So much swagger in his playing! Paul was visibly freaking to see his hero on Paul's stage playing a PRS Singlecut. That was an epic weekend!
