I'm interested in retrofitting a tremolo onto my Modern Eagle 2 that currently has a wrap around bridge. Something like the Schaller 4201. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to not make any holes so I could return it back to original if needed. Thanks in advance!

It takes guts to mod a ME II....go for it!

Maybe something like this?

Oops, that's what you said! Maybe a Stetsbar? I think that's what they were called. Not sure it would work with the top carve on a PRS though.

Never seen anything like that!

What about headstock angle? PRS PTC said they wouldn't mode a stoptail to trem, something to do with the headstock angle.

Do those Schaller things really work? Anyone tried one?

As for modifying an ME, personally I'd say no, don't do it.

I had a kahler equipped guitar back in the day. It had rollers on the saddles and it doesn't take long for those rollers to bind up and stop rolling.

That's where my sweaty hand would rest all night long.

sorry to bump an old thread, but i was wondering about these bridges also. it's much easier to find used mccartys than it is used mccarty trems.

i'm more of a chord shaker than dive bomber, so these would probably work well for me, but i've never tried 1 or seen 1 on a prs

after doing some reading up, it doesn't look like the 4201 would work on wraparound. on top of that, schaller has discontinued them.

it would be cool if someone would design a bridge like that for wrap bridges. it's easy to block off a trem, but not add 1 to a hardtail
