Replacing Piezo Bridge on HB Spruce

I have an old HB Spruce with piezo but I really don't have much of a need for acoustic sounds. I've been considering just replacing the bridge with the standard wrap around bridge. Is it safe to assume that it would be a direct fit? I figured I could just unplug the cable, secure it with painter's tape so it doesn't fall into the body, and slap a new one on there.

While I know I can just not use the piezo, I prefer the feel of the standard wrap around bridge, Will this work?

Why replace it? Just don't use the piezo circuit.

If you look at the saddles, I'm having a little issue getting the intonation correct. The feel is also just a little different. Just considering my options although leaving it as is will work.

The piezo uses the same studs as a standard wrap around bridge so it should work.

It just occurred to me that I had an extra McCarty bridge on my workbench. It should be easy to give it a shot. I was thinking I needed to buy one. Guess we'll see if I like it better.

There is a small set screw on each side of the bridge toward the tail end of the guitar. This allows you to push the bridge further back against the studs and get more rearward intonation range. Your bridge appears to be sitting flush against the posts. If it's more intonation range you need, there's a fix available that doesn't involve swapping out the entire bridge.
