I'm purchasing a Seymore Duncan 59 PAF bridge pick up with a single conductor hook up cable. Can I replace this pick up just working from the top and removing the circuit board from the body? Seems simple enough but is there anything I should know before doing this?

There's no need to remove the circuit board, all the connections you need will be with the toggle switch (hot pickup output) and the volume pot (braided ground). It's easier to pull the switch and pot through the lower F hole for soldering, the pickup will install from the top like normal.
