Removing Tremonti Bass Pickup Cover?

Is it possible/safe/easy to remove the pickup cover from the Tremonti Bass Pickup. I'm looking at upgrading my two SE tremontis and ideally I would want to change the pickup covers for each to a matching colour for the rest of the guitar. I'd probably get my local tech to do it to be safe, but don't want to risk it if it's not possible.

Yes you can remove pickup covers.
I good high temp soldering iron with a wide tip and I use spackle knife to slowly and carefully separate cover from base.
once solder is clear of cover gently pull cover off pickup , be careful of the winding wires
