I love the look of it. I'm a bit ambivalent about what it actually is. I don't really have a problem but would rather a guitar achieved that level of wear honestly.
I do look at relic jobs like that though and wonder how on earth some of the areas could ever end up without any paint on them unless it has been deliberately abused. Having said that, the paint has worn off the end of the lower bout of my Strat and I have no idea how
