I was playing my KL 380 again, and just noticed how nice the neck felt. Not quite as big as the Santana, and just a bit nicer fit for my hands. I did a bit of searching on the wayback machine, and found out it's a "Regular D neck." Apparently this is the same neck as the Custom 22 Triple Soapy. I'm curious what other neck profiles might be extremely similar to the Regular D neck? That way, I can be on the lookout for that neck style in the guitars I have absolutely no need to be looking at, just in case I find one that I have absolutely no need to own. Neither the web nor the PRS neck profiles article were particularly helpful. I thought the collective mind here might be more helpful.

It's similar to the DGT as well
Damn. That could pose a problem long term. I've been curious about the DGT.

What I'd really love, is a non-trem bridged PRS with that regular D neck, or something close to it.

I’d love that as well with the simple PRS wraparound bridge. My DGT neck is a bit to narrow at the nut. Well, and I also changed the pickups to a pair of Dragon 2’s (Alnico 4)….its close enough now..

The "D" profile, if I remember correctly, was introduced with the Custom22 Soapbar. Not sure if it's ever been officially on any other models. It's a comfy carve for me. I don't need no pencil necks!

I was playing my S2 Studio today. It’s a pattern regular neck. It’s pretty close, but I think the regular D is maybe a bit deeper. Or girthier, to stay in character with previous posts.
