So PTC is not doing the work now, any recommendations on where I can go now? Thanks
Ugh... it’s the logo that makes other places impossible to use.
Marty Bell is pretty recommended. But the toughest part is the headstock logo.
Fortunately, I'm just doing the top, so that won't be an issue. It is a Santana, so he'd have to navigate the purfling
Yet another reason to buy Santana’s, West Streets, Experience, and Private Stocks: no metal logos!
Pat Wilkins does an incredible job. He's done a few for me in the past. As good or better than the PTC!
I would probably defer the refinish until PTC was ready to do them again.
But I’ll play any Santana and be happy about it.
I can vouch for Pat. He also has always quoted me accurate times for completing the job (a rare feat in this industry).
I've had three Warmoth bodies, one neck, and a few backplates finished by him, more soon.
I also had my 2019 Silver Sky Dodgem blue refinished by him in a "Nebula"-style flip flop paint.
The factory finish wasn't great on that one, to put it nicely.
Another vote for Pat Wilkins. He is working on my third refinish on a PRS.
Pat Wilkins did a great job for me on a mid-80's Ibanez. I would definitely send work his way again!
Thanks all. Just reached out to Pat.
