Hurry up get us a picture
It's been a couple of hours and the outside of the case is warm. I will wait a few hours, crack the case a smidge and check the body temp very quickly. I will post pics soon. This is my first PRS. Always had Les Paul's and Strats in the house. I am soooo excited.

I would wait. You may want to open the box flaps for a bit, maybe later take the case out of the box, but I wouldn't open the case until it's felt like room temperature for a few hours.
Maybe take the time to get your camera ready, pick out a nice background, select the picks and cable you'll use...

My maple top 408 arrived this AM. I waited a little under 2 hours. Then opened it.
Everything is just fine.
Current outside temp is 21 degrees here, by the way.
I'd wait a couple of hours longer with nitro, but your 408 is V12. It really doesn't need that much time to acclimate.

Move to Phoenix. It's 80 degrees and sunny. The air smells like citrus blossoms everywhere you go. It's awesome. March is my favorite month here.

Until you look at the cost of a house, utilities, and water in Phoenix. My parents live there, and I'll stay in Kansas City thank you very much! Not to mention the summer is hotter than hell...

in an ideal world you should let it acclimate at the same rate it was chilled. but in reality, one takes guitar from cold car to gig and just rocks it.

All is well. Guitar is awesome. Planning on moving to a warm spot in a few years. So a few questions. I typically like five springs on my trem. That ok to do with this 408? The action seems just a bit high. I have done truss rod and saddle adjustments on other guitars, is this one any different? Final note-with being used to strats and Les Paul's, this guitar seems so much easier to play, very fluid, very sensitive(in a good way). Does that sound weird? Thanks.

Prs will use the center spring spot on the claw for bridge ground wire from pots in control cavity!!! you maybe able to add a 5th string and not hurt ground connection. I am like you on terms wanting a 5th spring, but have not felt the need to add it yet. The truss rod and saddles adjust the same as a strat, and no it is not weird to play a guitar that is very fluid, reacts well to your touch. That is why I now owe 7 lol. Dang PRS is killing my play funds.

Spring tension is spring tension. Unless you like super heavy strings and you can't get enough adjustment out of the trem claw to bring the trem back down to level, then there shouldn't be a need to add an additional spring.
Recommend reading all of the links on this page before you attempt to make adjustments:

If the action is high, the first thing I would check is neck relief and go from there. PRSes come from the factory setup as per their specs but a change in ambient conditions can affect neck relief. Also some dealers feel they need to mess with the setup, and more often than not, get it wrong. In this case, you may need to play around a bit more to get it back to spec.
