Reamping 101

Was in my YouTube subs this morning.
This is way over my head, but I found it kind of interesting how you can change the raw signal to something else for cutting to an album.
What about groups who depend on this technology, but if they play live, then do not sound as good?
I only know of a few groups that sound just as good live as they do on their records, with AC/DC being one of them.

And as we know, all the great songs were done reamping.
Reamping is a fine technique but I think a lot of these guys are too caught up in twiddling and tweaking and forgetting about feel, swing, the actual performance and the song itself.
