So I found this amazing Korina KL1812 with birds on Reverb today and I have freaked out. Always wanted to have one and it was there. Price on the high side of what they going for but doable. Shaked my piggybank and I was just about to pull it when my wife said that her car is on its EoL... she's community nurse so need wheeles!!!

Needless to say £2k5 wen't towards new Ford.

I'm only here to vent

Somebody get this and end my suffering

Yeah I know I did the right thing but this is such a rare axe. Especially in this condition.

I still have two decent 24's so not entirly devastated. Misus is happy with new car to be delivered in 2 months. Just hoping the old one will make it :)
 
You definitely did the right thing! You might want to look at the Reverb post again,
I believe that the shop might have made a listing mistake. All of the photo's seem to be of an 07 McCarty Korina with the original run of Brazilian Boards. You can see the bird tag, as well as photos show the covered McCarty pick-ups.

As far as I know the KL 1812 never had birds and they all came with the uncovered Mira Pick-ups. Unless your cool Guitar Dealer at the time gave you one of the limited coupons to send your guitar back to the factory for a set of 5708's.
I am a big fan of all that is Korina and if you wait patiently a Kl1812 will come back around.
They are killer guitars!

Christ you guys are killing me. Don't tell me these things! ;)

The top of this thing is dope mesmerising. It's so rich on the edges and further to the centre it just zoom out like millenium falcon in hyperdrive mode.

Ideally I wanted Korina with P90's but this is the second score I missed this year first being P90 McRosie - no birds so I waited few days and the moment the itch was to hard to scratch off and I was going to call the seller for a meet-up, it was already gone.
