Random. No more or less

I had to put this here because I wanted you to see this talented woman who rocks hard. This band is from Germany. The lead player Sara is very very good with an attitude! She puts her own spin on the solos. It’s very interesting how she handles some of the more intricate solos. You really don’t have to play their solos note for note.

I am thinking I can do the same thing and be so happy. I know they are old and boring to some of you but no one is getting any younger. I have the skills to be able to do this I just have to get off my lazy butt and get going. I think this band is going to be a main focus for me. Ya, like it wasn’t before. Lol! There is no damned reason that I can’t play like this. Gotta kick my butt in gear. I think if I put another band together it will be a tribute band. It’s whatever makes you happy. I will never ever even get close to being an Eddie but I am okay with that. I want to have that much fun on stage! She’s a little power house with a skill set that will grow with time. I absolutely adore this woman.

@DreamTheaterRules The Jack. This is one of the songs you suggested. This is right up my alley. I have played it before but never with the band I was in. ACDC was never a priority with them as it is with me. You have to love what you play because it shows in your performances. It has that blues vibe to it. Just a classic!
I love this song so much. You can pour your heart into it!

AC/DC! If it could only be one band’s music I could aspire to play, it would be AC/DC. Sure, Rush, Zep, Kansas, Queen, Queensryche, Metallica, Sabbath, Deep Purple, Hendrix, and the rest of the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s coming of age to 30-somethin’ sound track is up there as well. AC/DC though. It’s recognizable, blues based, adolescent, driving, raw party music. I don’t think a lot of it is super hard (or is it? I’m not sure), not to minimize at all Angus’ and Malcolm’s talent, timing, tone and drive. AC/DC is like the ‘Stones To me. I didn’t like them as much early, I can’t imagine life without them being part of the sound track now.

@aamefford take a look at the Back in Black solo. It’s a tough one. I am learning it now. I have to take in small bits because the bends, the vibrato are tough. I will never get Angus’s vibrato down ever. I watch his techniques, I watch how he maneuvers around the keyboard. He even admitted to having to modify some of his techniques because he said he has very small hands.

Their music has had such a positive impact on my life and especially learning guitar. I just love picking up my SG and cranking it up to max volume depending on whose home and playing. It’s such a happy event. There music puts the biggest shite eating grin on my face.

I play some Judas Priest, Queen, Rolling Stones, etc.

But there is nothing that makes me happier then playing their music. It’s so well worth months of practice to get this perfect! I will make an effort to get this song right!

Have a truly found my calling. I seriously have been doing a lot of thinking lately. Where do I really want to go with my playing? Time is a ticking. 59 yrs and counting next month. Now is the time to realize where I need to go.

I am going to focus and concentrate on ACDC and perfect the songs I already know. And then learn more. Hell I will put on a one women show if that’s what it takes. This is my dream gig.

Now that I have decided after 13 years of playing I feel so much better instead of being all over the place. I know exactly what my mission is. ❤️

I know I talk a lot. Sorry! But feedback is always a good thing.

Sorry for being that yappy women. But that’s what we do best! Lol

So shockers of all shockers. I have been a vegetarian for almost 15 years. I have been losing so much weight. I needed to change things up. Today I had a small steak pie. It was beyond delicious. I only ate 1 because I don’t know how many body will react to this. I feel really bad because I just do. I will never eat pork or chicken though. I have to be a hypocrite for
my health!

Rock it Girl! And congrats on the steak pie, sounds like you are making some good decisions ;~))

Ppl tonight and tomorrow night the NORTHERN LIGHTS will be visible they say all over North America. I have my binoculars and my tea and I am deck bound. I also have my guitar sans amp just to keep me company.

Ps I just got my little busking amp out with me. Might as well have music and a show. I will keep it to a whisper! Lol

That’s a given! You are a word smith bar 0. You really do have a gift. I do sing some lyrics but my focus us solely on playing. And the way you put your own spin on a song! BRAVO!

I played most of the night standing up. I don’t do that. I had so much fun. One the best nights ever with all the stuff I have going on atm. It so nice to be in the moment! I played mostly ACDC because I am really trying to get that Back in Black solo down. I managed it at 25% speed. It’s a start!

Thanks for the kind words, I wrote 4 songs in the past 3 days ;~)) I look forward to being able to get up and play, cuz at the moment, I am the drummer and that is difficult (for me anyway) to kick the drum parts standing ;~(( But once I do figure out/can afford my MIDI shoes to kick the drums while I dance around, Lord help y'all, it will be mayhem!!! Keep Rockin' Girl, seize the groove (ooh, possible new song)!

Does playing still excite you after all the years everyone has been playing? Some playing more years others less. But the experience is still the same basically!
Yes. I complain about the group I play with but the truth is, even that is fun. But when I go in that room and turn on a tube amp… oh yeah, it still excites me.

Not here unfortunately... it seems like every time the lights are visible this far south (New Jersey), we are socked in with clouds. :(

Drama drama drama. Out walking my dogs yesterday when the crack head down the street starts yelling profanities at me. WTF! I am getting right in his face as he is mine. Long story short. They left their dog out in a winter storm a year ago and the poor thing was crying to come in but they wouldn’t let it in. My son cracked off to them that they should be better pet owners. I left a note 2 years ago stating they should be more responsible dog owners.

So he said, don’t leave another note or else! I said or else what! That is a threat right there.

He is so whacked out on whatever drugs he’s on that I am now petrified. He ‘s the kind of demented person to poison my dogs , break into my house or steal something or stab me or hurt me.

I have a picture that is time stamped of this event and I have written everything he said verbatim on my phone time stamped again.

I am going to the police right now. The police have major issues with these ppl.

That I already knew. You are so enthusiastic and are so dedicated.

I really think my OCD has a lot to with my guitar playing obsession.

And every time I pass by my guitar stand I just have to pick up my guitar and start playing Rock n roll damnation as I am trying to put dance moves to the track. This song is fairly simple but when you try to add dance steps in the mix it gets a little complicated. Just trying to get that Chuck Berry strut in there. I just never realized how much fun it is to stand and play! I am trying to add as much detail to the song with attitude and moves.

This is so bizarre. For the last 3 nights of intensive playing and improvising I am sounding like I never have before. I have probably had this happen before but in smaller steps. I am playing like it was meant to be. Maybe it’s a fluke. I have been playing mad hours ever since seeing that ACDC band from Germany with Sara on lead guitar. She is amazing. She has style, she has stage presence, she’s very cute and sassy. Her presence and stage performances really appeal to me. Having so much fun! Motivation plus.
