Random. No more or less

Do you remember when they had those plastic monster kits? Frankenstein, Dracula etc

My brothers and friends would build them and painstakingly paint every detail on them. Then they would get home made gun powder(my middle brother fascinated with this and guns. He’s a gun tech for the OPP. )
They would wrap these figures with this stuff, take them out in the street and watch them explode and then melt into a puddle of liquid plastic. The neighbours loved my brothers pyrotechnics. It was a neighborhood event. Then when the long May 24 weekend came around they started building cardboard ships with explosives scattered everywhere within the confines of the cardboard ships. These ships started off small and then the last one was 7’ long. It would usually last a couple of hours. The neighbours would bundle their kids up and bring chairs to sit and watch on our front lawn.

Dangerous but so much fun!

On another note. I notice that this cooler weather seems to bring out the raccoons and skunks. The raccoons were bickering in the back yard. My dogs just went bananas. I had such a hard time trying to calm the youngster down. Everything little noise he was barking at and then when the noise of the raccoons started he got really upset. I took him in bed with me and gave him a massage and that really seemed to help him calm right down. I put a sleep mask on him and he slept right beside me for a few hours with it on. I was amazed.

Any of you who don’t mind accommodating me with 3 of your song choices I would truly appreciate it. As long as their in my wheel house I will give each and every one of them serious thought.
I usually pick songs from those that are technically driven to perfection in one form or another. Three that come immediately to mind are The Eagles, Pink Floyd and AC/DC.
I don't think there is any group that are more driven by perfection than the Eagles as far as presentation and how Henley and Frey demanded their compositions to be played. Makes me wonder how they handled Joe in his wild and binging days.
Gilmour is likely the most tonally adept and most masterful bender of strings of anyone with a guitar in his hands. Not wishing to open the can of worms about who is the greatest player or anything, but for me, he is the King of the Bend and still "the guy" that can make a Strat sing like no other guitarist on Earth.
Say what you want about power chords and how Angus (and Malcom of course) uses them to such length, but the way he goes about the accuracy and how tight with them is uncanny. As simple as they are in reality, the way Angus is so damn precise with them is a marvel in itself.
I will leave song choice up to your discretion, but working on these three styles or master groups always offers me something to continue to build on or find something to make better than it was. Which for me is a lot larger a task than most will ever encounter with a git-fiddle in their grip. And as the story goes, if it isn't fun to play, why on Earth bother to play it?

@Daryl Jones I used to play Comfortably numb and I loved playing it. It let me slide every emotion I had into this song. The band that I was with at the time knew how much I loved to play this and they would always let me do that solo. It would transcend my whole being to another level of playing. It’s a feeling I can’t even put my finger on. I never played it note for note but put my own spin on it. After I finished playing it the bass player said that I had played this so beautifully. That was 8 years ago but that memory is so good I will never ever forget it. That solo is something that I can pour my emotions into and just let it rip.

Thank you for your feedback!

So I went to the doctors this afternoon, got back in the house take my socks and shoes off(bare feet it’s still summer) and I feel a really nasty pain in the ball of my left foot. It shocked me and I screamed. It was like a burning sharp pain. I took off the sock of my foot and their was a wasp in my sock. How it got there I will never know. But it hurt like hell. My son got looked at my foot. Right in the middle of swollen bump area was a hole where it stung me. That was 6 hours ago and it’s still bothering me. SOB!

That’s a freak occurrence if there ever was one! Sorry 😞

I figured out how this happened. I took off my socks to go out on the wet grass with the dogs and left my socks on the patio table and one must of crawled in it and when I put it on it was still there. But I just don’t know how it didn’t sting me when I was walking to the doctors office and then home. Just so freaky.

Last time I got stung by a wasp (on my forearm), it actually got infected and I ended up on antibiotics. Still have a little white scar where the sting was. Much nastier than a bee sting.

I woke up really early because of the sensation of pain in my foot. It still is tender around the sting area. Ice packs are my best friends right now.

The ball of my foot is starting to swell up with that wasp sting. It’s really hot and getting red. Think I might go to the doctor tomorrow. You can see the little hole in the middle. I have to heel walk now. This sucks. 1 in a million chances that you find wasp in your sock but I did.

I predict you will survive! Totally odd though how it could have been in your sock while you go to the doc (see, there it is, rhymin' without even tryin' - just the way I think/speak/type)!! That is a story for the ages ;~)) I know you are in pain, but chin up, I don't see anything to be "doctor visit" worthy at this point, but your call!!!

This is what happened to me, on my arm. It started getting redder instead of better. I went to the doc and she said it had turned into an infection, like a skin infection. Gave me oral antibiotics for it. Took several days, but it got better.

Beyond freaky! I'm very allergic to bee stings and that would have driven me right up the wall! But I never go outside anywhere this time of year without my trusty antihistamine /Benedryl, the things are just so pesky and everywhere. Word is the queens kick the workers out of the nest and they have no home and nothing to feed on other than scavenging (they are predatory too so that's why they are attracted to human food stuffs on picnic tables) and they love sweet drinks, especially wine, beer and coolers! And they will sting without provocation too...the bastids! And because they are wasps and not bees, they can sting multiple times as the stinger can stay attached to their abdomen, actual bee stings are barbed so they pull out of them after stinging and the bee dies as a result. Not hornets and wasps, they are like the machine gun of stinging flying insects. My biggest fear is getting one inside my helmet or race suit when I'm racing this time of year. Hasn't happened (yet) and so far I just get stung when I'm in the pits or up in the stands watching.

I took the dogs on a different route for their walk. Look at what I found.

Another little hidden gem where I can play. It’s like a covered gazebo. Going to go play there tomorrow. This is such a beautiful place to play.

Ppl looky! And my song!!

Hard to say which I like best...the SE seems a tad soft but maybe a wee bit warmer(?) as does the Suhr seem somewhat soft. Plus that clip/riff isn't really about warmth. The '64 gets the overall edge I think, as it should given the model/vintage. But with so little information it's hard to know what has been done with the Strat and the LP, or any of them... the Strat would likely have been "massaged" or at least had the pickups balanced and were the SE and the Suhr right out of the box? I thought the LP was a bit disappointing TBH, I expected more of a snarl/bite like the Strat had.
