Random. No more or less

COVID is on the way out of this place. Tests are negative now. My wife worked from home on Friday and went into the office today. We are both still feeling a bit tired. She is still having some stomach issues. For me, the real good news is that I started tasting some things at a very slight level yesterday. The sense of taste is coming back. I am not tasting things at the full level of what I used to but at least I am able to taste and smell some things. From the people I talked to that I work with that lost these senses it sounded like they were going to be gone about a month. Mine were completely gone for a week and have started to return.

Congrats @JasonE i am so happy that your feeling better. Being sick is misery in itself.

Be careful and take things at your own pace. Be well! ❤️

What a gorgeous day to be alive. I just came back from a long hike with the dogs. I listened to some really old Van Halen. Just walking the trails and taking in all the beauty was so uplifting. I was thinking about all the positive things I have going on. Issues are hold today. To happy to deal with them today!

He gets me through the day! I will never stop my love affair with this virtuoso! Listening to his music made me feel incredible.

Life never slows down. My hubby is set to go in for his final surgery. The screws they reattached bone to bone in his very first surgery have broken in his right foot. It’s causing him great misery. So they have to saw through the bones mid foot and put new titanium screws in place. Stitch him up, then come home and recoup for the summer. I really wanted to join a cycling group this summer but I have to stick close To home base.

I really hope this is it!
Best wishes on a perfect operating room procedure today!

Last night came home from work extremely late at 10:00 and picked up my guitar. I ended playing until 12:30 and I felt my inner rock star coming alive. I had so much fun. I’ve been coming undone with practicing consistently lately.
I've refrained form late night practice for a long time now, found it wound me up tighter than a piano string. But I'm finding more and more I want to do that again and see what creative juices start flowing from it.
I'm fiddling with different combinations on my Line6 Pod lately, Looks like I'm gonna spend a bit more coin down the line haha. Em, don't tell the missus, I've finally managed to be ignored on the mods to my race bike and that took several years of "WTF do you need all that for?" haha. She hasn't even been out to the track in 4-5 years to see me race so she doesn't even know/understand the advancements I've made with that. But she does stick her head in the cave every so often, that's gonna be harder to not see. Not that it's a big secret or anything...much...:D

Nighttime sometimes is the only time I have to practice. Sometimes if I am on fire it does wind me up.

Last night I fell asleep with the biggest smile on my face. Screw the sleep, the sheet bliss and happiness were well worth the effort and lack of sleep. The spark is still there.

Did all go good in hubby's surgery? Glad you were able to channel your inner rock star, hold it tight and don't let go!

This is a phenomenal day. I have a 6 pack happening. In all the years I did personal training I had an extra 20 pounds on me and now that I am my lightest weight ever you can count all the striations. I feel like dancing in the streets.
I still have a keg. Since I lost weight it is much more of a pony keg or a beer ball but I have a ways to go to get to a 6 pack. :)

I can relate. Even though I'm active I still have that famous in my 60's midsection. The workouts don't take off as much as they used to, and well, I do have this attraction to ice cream...and pie...and brownies/cake/cookies...damn, I'm hungry now...:D

I still eat chocolate which I love love love! And just Lays plain chips. That’s the extent of my junk food addiction. I try not to eat more then a handful a day but I may sit and eat the whole damn bag. After all we’re only human. That’s my excuse! Lol
