Yeah, let's leave the political crap out of our discussions, like our forum rules dictate.
You do yourself no credit with a post like this.Inflation is crazy at the CNE. $5 small bottle of water. To get simple fries $10 for a small which fed me with my husband nibbling on the sides but I packed a lunch for both of us. I just can’t do take out anymore! The sun was disgusting and walking around in 90 degree temperatures was entirely too much.
And this fat acceptance ideology was very evident yesterday. Ppl wearing stuff they shouldn’t. Ppl in the food building on their scooters with the fat just oozing out the sides of their vehicle while stuffing their faces. These ppl make me sick. No will power or self pride. Just disgusting. I am far from perfect but I know what reality is and how these stupid left wing politics affects one. Healthy at any weight? My *ss!
Either love me or hate me! Drc.
It is definitely an issue with our food supply and additives that don't need to be in it. I have been looking into these things since the late 90's. It is shameful what they get away with in our country. They take something that we outlaw and make a very minor change to it then rename it and it gets back in the food supply. We know to look for the original bad thing but don't know what the new thing is even though it is essentially the same. Buy your foods in whole form and get away from eating things that come prepackaged. Get the sugar out of your diet, it is poison to your body.Don't know about up in Canada, but down here in the US, I see as many overweight people in red states as in blue. Maybe more. I seriously doubt that politics is affecting our population's weight. Personally, I think that our food industry, with its reliance on unhealthy additives (high fructose corn syrup for example) is the culprit.
It isn't quite this simple, especially in the US. Buying good quality food costs more money. Some of the additives they put in our food supply actually cause to you be hungry more often. It is how they sell more of the crappy food. People that have to eat on a smaller budget end up with more processed food. It actually costs more to buy a version of a food that has not had the good stuff stripped out because the industry is designed to bleach and remove things from the food. They want more money to leave the good part in. I know overweight people that hardly eat, yet they are still overweight. I used to be 55 lbs. heavier than I am now. I had to stop eating a number of things I used to eat and start spending more money to buy foods more in their natural state and prepare them myself. I am pretty strict with what I eat now. I wish I had been able to do this decades ago. What I meant is the political left losers want us to believe in their delusions. I refuse. Sorry but these obese ppl disgust me. If they could walk away from the table and just say no!
You are the master of your own destiny. So stay ignorant, be obese and you can’t say no. It’s not the food industry at all it’s the ppl themselves.
Obese ppl help to stress out are already stressed out medical system. They cost you and I big bucks.
Exactly.Today is a new day. Isn’t life about learning through mistakes?
That’s how one evolves in life.
Keep in mind that a "bunch of land" and growing and raising your own food is "a bunch of work"! I have laying hen chickens (just took in 5 new ones about 12 weeks ago which gives us 7 layers at this point), grow many fruits and have had veggie gardens, but each one of those luxuries takes time and effort that, when compared to buying quality organic equivalents at the store, is often a bad ROI IMO. I still do it because there is nothing like eggs from your own raised little girls, picking fruits off the tree and eating them, running out to the yard for a lemon or lime when making dinner, etc., but if I were to calculate the hourly wage I am getting for self providing that stuff, I would quit the job immediately I am sure ;~))I Am Thinking About Getting A Bunch Of Land And Growing And Raising My Own Food.
If I Were To Go That Route I Would Make Sure The Property Had Plenty Of Guest Quarters On Site And I Would Have Proper Help. I Am Too Old To Work That Hard And Deal With All Of That Stuff. The Simple Stuff I Would Probably Enjoy Doing A Bit Of But A Full Blown Undertaking Isn't Something I Want To Get Into. I Would Be Open To Some Proper Organic Fruits And Vegetables And Putting Out Good, Clean Meats And So Forth. Maybe Even Have A Restaurant That Offers The Gd Stuff Tied Into It. I Am Just Kicking The Idea Around And Have Been For A While As I Am Fed Up With The $h!t Food That Is Running Rampant Out There Harming Our Health. Decisions...Decisions.Keep in mind that a "bunch of land" and growing and raising your own food is "a bunch of work"! However, you are getting outside, where the air is more pure, and you are getting movement in your day so you don't need a gym membership.Keep in mind that a "bunch of land" and growing and raising your own food is "a bunch of work"! I seriously doubt this. Over the years, I've had multiple times I posted something, come back later to check for response and my post wasn't there. Nothing offensive or anything. (NO, REALLY! ) but I've had more than a few posts disappear over the years.Just noticed that a number of my recent posts on this thread have been deleted. Mods - did I say something wrong?
Here is a print screen of the "notifications" on my account indicating that two of my posts were removed today.I seriously doubt this. Nice! Some Of That "A Bunch Of Land" I Was Talking About Also Included A Motocross Track But I Didn't Mention It Initially. You don't have to go too overboard with having a bunch of land to grow food. This raised garden yields quite a bit, more than when a larger standard garden was planted (although this one doesn't have corn). You do need to learn canning skills, though, as a lot ripens in a short time frame.
I LOVE it! "I Am Too Old To Work That Hard And Deal With All Of That Stuff." (gardening) but "I Need A Motocross Track"!! Sounds like an interesting scenario ;~)) Just joking around I hope you know!!!Nice!
