Randall Smith on Mesa Boogie History

Randall confirmed that he was fired by Gibson in the latest, 5th episodes of the stories. Needless to say, I will never put a dime toward the gibson corpo

I had a Mesa Studio Preamp repaired by Mesa soon after the sale to Gibson and Mike B. had the repairs done in a few days then it took a month to get an invoice and another month for Gibson/Mesa to process the payment correctly. Due to the issues I asked a friend in No Cal to pickup the preamp and even with an appointment Mesa wouldn't answer the door and hand over the preamp.

I sold the Studio Preamp and my Fillmore 25 head. With all the amp techs shutting down over the past 10 years I don't want to risk dealing with Gibson/Mesa for repairs. I'm keeping my MarkIIB as it has sentimental value and has already had a cap job, but owning a Mesa from the early 80's has me concerned if something does break.

It's a recycling company mate, they will only do the reissue. I bet Randall was against, he was alway a forward thinking designer. So they gave him a kick.
