deep in the raspberry...
I know that PRSh doesn't just sit in his office sipping Reme Martin - well not all of the time, anyway. Even when he is, he's thinking about TONE.

The guy works hard for us, look at what it's done to his hair, after all!

So, let's help him out. How about posting some guitar ideas that you think PRS should consider. It would be just as helpful to post idear PRS should never consider...

Like this one. Amazingly, it is still as useful as the original, unmodified version...

I'd like to see him take a crack at PRS versions of the Norlin era Marauder and S-1 guitars.

I would like to see how the rules of tone might be applied to non-traditional guitar building materials. Maybe a Travis Bean-esque aluminum neck to start with...

Maybe some PResonatorS after that???

And thirdly, maybe some of the EBMM "game-changer" user-definable switching applied to a 3x408 guitar would be super awesome...

REALLY?????? I don't need more models to lust after. After a while there just isn't enough excuses to try and feed my wife! Kind of like running out of excuses why you're late getting home back in the high school days!

Like Paul's gonna start making Carvins...not gonna happen.

Actually, Carvin didn't invent neck-through construction--I think that honor goes to a little West Coast firm called Rickenbacker. Then there are Gibson Firebirds, and stuff from another little West Coast company called Alembic--none of which PRS needs to be making; they're doing a nice job with what they've got. I do wish they'd bring back the 305 and the DC3, though!
Pssst...how about an SE electric 12-string...?

I'd love to see some/a 3x408 pickup models. Combined with some fancy 5-way switch which gives you individual humbuckers or auto-splits on the combined positions:

Pos 1: Bridge HB
Pos 2: Bridge HB + Middle SC
Pos 3: Middle SC + Neck HB
Pos 4: Middle SC + Neck SC
Pos 5: Neck HB

I reckon that would be a cool set of tones to be available on a quick flick of a 5-way blade! If it's even possible ...

I like this...

But the middle pup is never in HB mode. You could just throw a vintage rail in there. And I'd switch pos 3 and pos 4.
