Quilted Maple Top Worship!

I just made the decision to not buy any new guitars for 2 years, and then hopefully order a Private Stock. The thing is that won't be a quilt, and that means I still won't have a quilt ...

But that Private Stock could be a quilt.

Ah no it can't, I have a very particular wood in mind for the top, and I've never seen it with quilting

Or at least with a quilted maple neck with (quilted) maple fretboard.

I don't think quilt will fit with the vibe of what I have in mind. It's OK, it just means I'll need to get another guitar to fill "the hole"

I would call that flame.

Love that 513. Absolutely gorgeous! I think quilted maple looks better because the grain often lines up well when bookmatched. Ahhh.......maybe someday.

Hm, if you show of with MODCAT analysis or hang-tag we would get the official statement.
Flalted grain . It looks like it has more flame than quilt.

Thanks for the replies guy's. I bought it thinking it was FM and I love the top and colour. Just different to any other FM guitar I've got where the pattern in the wood is generally much tighter.
