Question Regarding 25th Anniversary McCarty Narrowfield

Hey everyone,

I was recently browsing a music store and saw a 2010 McCarty Narrowfield that was nearly a dead ringer for mine except for the truss rod cover.

Now I'm a tad bit confused. My truss rod cover reads Custom and the one in the store reads McCarty. When I bought the guitar (from an authorized dealer of course) it had this truss rod cover, but all the ones online have the McCarty. It was not something I paid attention to until I saw the guitar twin.

What gives? any differences?

Sounds like you've got the wrong TRC somehow. No McCarty I've ever seen has a 'Custom' imprinted cover. Those are only found on CU22s and 24s.

That's a cool top! I love the cross grain. Congrats on the score. There might still be a couple Forum TRCs floating around if you want to ditch the "Custom."
