Is there anything different on the 2013 SE CU24 compared to the 2012 model? Or same?
Got tax return and not sure if I should wait for awhile for a 2013 or just get 2012 now.
Thank You in advance.:)

There are some really nice "custom" colors lurking around, I saw one at GC that isn't on the PRS website (took everything in me not to buy it on the spot), and I think they have some at Musician's Friend too. I guess my point is you have a lot to choose from! Good luck!

I am surprised at how many custom colors there are out there for many of the SE models. And how little information on the PRS web site there is about them.

I posted a query a few weeks back regarding SE Colors, never heard back from anyone official, but I played a Vintage Burst SECU24 at a Guitar Center, and that's not an officially listed color...

I may be wrong but don't the 2013 models have a carved top? I thought I may have read that somewhere.

That was introduced for the 2012 models. Carved or bevelled top. Though (And understandably) not as generous as the US ones it does give the guitar a classier look.

You'll know it's an upgraded model based on the carve and the blade switch. 2011 models and earlier had a toggle switch, flatter top no coil tap.

I think when you see 2013 on the products page it doesn't necessarily mean it's new model for the year but just what products they have in 2013. If it's a new model it'll have 'new' next to it. For SE's :

SE
SE 245
SE 245 Soapbar NEW!
SE Custom 24
SE Custom 24 7-String NEW!
SE Custom Semi-Hollow
SE Singlecut Trem
SE Torero

SE Signature
SE Bernie Marsden
SE Clint Lowery NEW!
SE Dave Navarro
SE Fredrik Åkesson
SE Mark Tremonti
SE Mark Tremonti Custom NEW!
SE Mikael Åkerfeldt
SE Mike Mushok Baritone
SE Nick Catanese
SE Orianthi
SE Paul Allender
SE Santana
SE Tim Mahoney
SE Zach Myers

But shop around. It'd been mentioned about the colours / finishes some shops do as special runs. Sometimes there may be some special runs that don't get mentioned on the PRS products page.

An example of that would be a limited run of SE Bernie Marsdens with upgraded US pickups and coil tap that was on sale in the UK recently.

So keep your eyes peeled and yu may drop on something special!!! :)
